As a diversified, national organization, you’ll have access to competitive benefits including a fresh perspective on workplace flexibility.Position Purpose:Independently supports and advances Human Resources (HR) Compliance Program by providing senior level expertise, regulatory analysis, and compliance oversight. Advises HR and business stakeholders on complex HR compliance matters, leads monitoring and audit activities, and supports enterprise initiatives that strengthen compliance governance, risk mitigation, and operational consistency.

Operates with a high degree of autonomy and judgment and serves as a key partner to HR, Legal, and Compliance teams.Independently monitors HR programs, processes, and documentation to assess compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements, identifying trends, gaps, and emerging risks.Develops and enhances HR compliance communications and training initiatives, providing subject matter expertise and guidance to the People Team, people leaders, and employees.Serves as a subject matter resource for HR compliance risk areas, translating regulatory requirements into practical guidance and operational considerations.Oversees internal and external HR compliance audit responses by preparing documentation, coordinating cross functional inputs, and driving timely completion of required deliverables and remediation actions.Provides senior level advisory guidance to HR and business stakeholders on complex HR compliance questions, applying regulatory requirements and partnering with Legal for interpretation of laws and regulations, as appropriate.Independently maintains and continuously improves HR compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and required records, ensuring accuracy and alignment with regulatory standards.Leads routine and targeted audits of HR programs and processes (e.g., onboarding, I 9s, training compliance), providing analysis, documenting findings, and recommending risk mitigating improvements.Monitors regulatory developments and proactively assesses potential impacts to HR policies, practices, and programs.Monitors and triages HR compliance inquiries received through shared mailboxes or ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution, appropriate escalation, and consistent application of guidance.Tracks and manages compliance deadlines, mandatory training requirements, regulatory reporting, and certification expirations, escalating risks as needed.Conducts in depth research on federal, state, and local HR compliance requirements; prepares impact assessments; and provides recommendations to HR leadership and stakeholders regarding compliance implications.Leads the development, rollout, and tracking of employee notices, policy updates, and compliance related communications, ensuring consistency and regulatory alignment.Collaborates with HR, Legal, Compliance, and People Team stakeholders to identify compliance gaps, analyze root causes, and support development of remediation and process improvement plans.Provides guidance and informal mentorship to Compliance Analysts, supporting knowledge transfer and consistency across the HR Compliance team.Executes additional responsibilities aligned with HR Compliance program needs.Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience. required3+ years Progressive experience in HR compliance, regulatory oversight, or related field requiredStrong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations requiredProven experience partnering cross functionally and exercising independent judgment in a compliance environment requiredDemonstrated ability to work independently on complex compliance matters preferredExperience in a healthcare or highly regulated industry. preferredExperience supporting audit readiness, regulatory reporting, and compliance monitoring initiatives. preferredPay Range: $70,100.00 - $126,200.00 per yearCentene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
